The Magic of Football Annuals

Anyone who's had a football annual for Christmas as a child will understand the wave of nostalgia pawing through the pages evokes. Getting lost in your imagination as you discover the world of your heroes.

In this fabulous National Football Museum exhibit we went through the pages, sometimes quite literally with a 9ft Sir Stanley Matthews annual to walk through and a front cover to be the star of. We immersed ourselves in the genre, taking our design cues from the different eras down to the half-tone and holographic foil print. Taking visitors through the history and discovering the magic of the footy annual.

“Fuzzy Duck created a high-quality exhibition full of colour and playful interactives, that embraces and celebrates the history of Football Annual.
The team achieved this by putting creativity at the centre of their designs, introducing oversized and textured graphics to immerse our visitors in the world of annuals. This is all the more impressive when considering the timeframes and budgets. The team made delivering to a tight time frame look effortless, absorbing issues and problems and just coming back with ‘don’t worry we’ve sorted that’. A total dream to work with, so we’ve already commissioned them again!”
