The Right to Participate

“We all have a human right to fair and equal treatment and here in Britain, we can be proud that we have laws to promote equality in places like schools, workplaces, hospitals and shops”.

The Right to Participate is an animation and website which we created for Disability Rights, to help increase awareness about the Equality Act. Creating a fictional town populated with a wide variety of characters, we used different scenes to highlight areas of discrimination that may appear in everyday situations.

We approached the character design process in a sensitive manner, to ensure that our animation was inclusive and inoffensive when it came to representing
various disabilities.
