United Utilities Weather Idents

It seems a distant memory now, but back in the summer (on the hottest day of the year), we filmed the latest ITV Granada weather idents for United Utilities. With a strong water saving message, the filming featured UU employee Charlene and the wonderful Cleo (along with the odd duck popping up!).

The Royal Meteorological Society

The Royal Meteorological Society asked us for a visual tool for teachers to explain clouds and weather patterns to secondary school students. No strangers to a spot of cloud here in Salford, we set to work creating an animated news report.

Dr. Sylvia Knight, Head of Education at RMetS, said:

“It has been great fun and very productive working with Fuzzy Duck. We have loved the design elements they have brought to our project – which had a lot of technical and very precise content. We hope the film will be used in geography classrooms across the UK for many years to come!”

Fuzzy Duck Away Day 2020

The Ducks enjoyed their annual away day at Quarry Bank Mill… time to take stock, review the past year and plan the route ahead. We even had the chance to visit the work that we did for our clients Workhaus, on the mill exhibition designed by Mather & Co. (with Nigel acting as tour guide!). As we are rarely all together at the same time, this was the perfect opportunity to bid a fond farewell to Phil, who retired earlier in the year.

Two Little Ducks… 22!

And finally, we’d like to introduce the two latest members of the Fuzzy Duck family. Catherine Noone joins our animation team, and Rhys Parkinson-Judd is our new Web Developer, joining the digital team…taking the total number of Ducks to 22!
